The Hole In The Wall area is located at the southern end of the Funeral Range. A dirt road extends beyond Hole In The Wall and provides access to trailheads to Slit Canyon and Red Amphitheater. It should be noted that Red Amphitheater is not a very well defined location. There are lots of red canyon sides, but no place that is clearly the actual site. Pyramid Peak is usually climbed starting at a point on Highway 190 17.5 miles east of Furnace Creek Inn (that's 11.5 miles west of Death Valley Junction). A gated dirt road leads to Navel Spring. |
